PATIENTS AND FAMILIES AS REVIEWERS FOR HEALTH RESEARCH GRANTS

January 11, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

This free workshop offers participants an introduction to the fundamentals of health research in Canada and explores the role of patient partners as members of the grant review process. Patients provide a unique expertise on their disease and have important perspectives on areas of research that are most relevant to their lives and disease experience. The focus on patient participation in research is in line with a greater movement to see patients more actively engaged in research and healthcare.

Clinicians and researchers who are interested in learning about how patients and family members can contribute to the grant review process are also encouraged to attend.

Parking and transportation will be reimbursed for patients/family members who participate in the workshop.
